Hello, world!
Ruben Baart is a curator, editor and designer based in Amsterdam. Beyond his creative work, he is a trained public speaker and moderator. Operating at the intersection of art, science, and technology, Ruben brings a multidisciplinary approach to his projects. At the heart of his work is a commitment to visual storytelling. By harnessing imagination he brings complex ideas to life, inviting diverse audiences to interpret and find meaning in what they hear, see, taste, smell, or feel.
Artistic statement
I aim to create an ever-evolving multiverse that synthesises various artistic practices, unified by a commitment to wonder and optimism as tools for collective imagination. Central to my practice is an exploration of how narratives around technology are envisioned, constructed, applied, and ultimately accepted. Collaboration is at the heart of this process. Working closely with academics, artists and designers, I extrapolate what we can engineer today into what might happen tomorrow.
